Does anyone know of any budget accommodation in phuket thailand? I will be traveling to phuket along with 5 other friends in about 2 weeks. We will be staying to 3 months and we have been looking for some budget accommodation. I've looked online a lot and found a few things, but nothing really great. We are looking to spend alltogether no more than 30000 baht a month for the 6 of us on a place to stay.If anyone could help us out with some places to look it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Good accommodation in Koh Samui Thailand? Hi, Any suggestions for a relatively cheap hotel / B&B in Koh Samui? Wanting to pay around £40 a night for a double at most Somewhere near the Chaweng beach area but not too close to where it is at its busiest!
Where can you snorkel from the beach in Thailand? We are visiting Thailand and want to snorkel as much as possible. We also have a 1year old, so we are looking for a hotel (possibly with great kids club?) on/near the beach, where you can snorkel right off the beach. Even area advice would be useful, so we would know where has good snorkelling off the beach, then look in that extended area for accommodation. Thanks so much for any help!!!!
Spending in Thailand? How much should a budget traveler need to spend a half month in Thailand : Accommodation + F&B + Transportation + Entrance fees to sites ?
Is Thailand Safe for Female travellers? I am planning on going to Thailand on my own in December. Many of my male friends have gone there and have had a blast. I know that sex is everywhere and easy to get. I am interested in the culture as well as the social scene and beaches. Is it safe for a female to travel oh her own and where are the best beaches to go to? I am looking for reasonably priced accommodation and easy commutes by public transit. Cheers!
Packing for Thailand? Will there be a lot of walking and will a wheeled suitcase just drive me nuts? I've just bought a 65L suitcase with wheels that has backpack straps and a detachable day pack, was this a good purchase or will I kill my back? Is there much point to taking a wheeled suitcase? I'll be packing light and conservatively (don't worry, I've read up on it) but one site I read said to wear "appropriate" footwear to temples. I'm confused, shouldn't you take your shoes off anyway? If not, what is "appropriate"? We're heading to Kanchanaburi, then south, all independently so will there be a lot of walking involved to get to/from public transport and accommodation and such? Also, the exit fee, is this now covered by the airfare as some people have said or not?

First visit to Thailand with family - budget places? Hello friends, I'm planning to take my parents and my 16-yr old brother to Thailand. I want to stay 3 days in Bangkok and three days in Pattaya. Question 1: Accomodation I have a very tight budget... can't spend more than 2000 baht a day on accomodation (for all 4 of us). I'd love to hear advice on good guesthouses and hotels in decent areas. Nothing fancy or frilly... but tasteful and quaint places that showcase Thai culture would be great. I am scared of getting accommodation in a "seedy" location... my uber-conservative parents (who had never gone out of India till now) will surely kill me, lol. Question 2: Itinerary Day 1 - Chinatown Day 2 - Bankgok Canals tour Day 3 - Temple Tour + shopping Day 4 - Nong Nooch village Day 5 - Temples + Tiger Zoo Day 6 - Coral island Do the above scedule cover the major must-see places? Any more suggestions on what I should never miss in Thailand? Advance thanks for your suggestions, Radhi

Is $500 enough for a month in Thailand, not including accommodations/food? The food is taken care of, as well as our place to stay. I have $500 for the whole month, and I would like to go to the discos, movies and buy gifts for my family. Do you think that $500 is enough? (Any and all help is appreciated, but please do not answer if you don't have a knowledge of the expenditures in Thailand, and their costs.) I will be in Bangkok for most of the time. I also don't plan on shopping for myself, unless it's cheap. I am used to the thrift store lifestyle :-)

reading this plss help me 2 write a conclusion and summary on Tourism...................? Tourism is travel for predominantly recreational or leisure purposes or the provision of services to support this leisure travel. The World Tourism Organization defines tourists as people who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited". Tourism has become a popular global leisure activity. In 2006, there were over 846 million international tourist arrivals. Tourism is vital for many countries such as Egypt, Thailand and many island nations such as Fiji, due to the large intake of money for businesses with their goods and services and the opportunity for employment in the service industries associated with tourism. These service industries include transportation services such as cruise ships and taxis, accommodation such as hotels and entertainment venues, and other hospitality industry services such as resorts.

Thailand Holiday Planning? We are planning to go back next year to try again but do not want to go back to Patong. We are tossing up between Koh Samui, Khao Lak and/or Kata Beach. We will be making a stop over in Bangkok. Can anyone advise out of these 3 which they would recommend? We want relaxation but also want to be fairly close to shopping and restaurants. Thanks!
