Can you recommend a good Bangkok hotel in Thailand? I will spending 3 nights in Bangkok next January as part of my honeymoon. Can anyone recommend a decent hotel - nice and with a good location? Will be spending a total of 3 weeks in Thailand & just 4 days of them in Bangkok! My budget is around EUR40 per twin room
Is this a racist sign outside a Thailand hotel? It seems common in many other Asian cities? I just came across it randomly and was kind of surprised - http://www.hotelthailand.com/pattaya/dynasty/index.html This is what the sign says: "All rate are except Chinese, Korian tours, Arabs and Indians" I've been to Thailand before and being Indian, never faced any such thing. This brings back some kind of memories -I know a couple of Indian friends from London who once went to Dubai, UAE and were in a mostly Asian group comprising Korean males and were refused entry by bouncers- although the "women" were allowed and also, one White man! Well none entered of course. And this was in broad daylight. The place was named Cactus Cantina. I have been curious on this subject. Why are some of these Asian cities allowing these establishments to violate every norm in today's age? What would you do if you were a non-White and refused entry/service in one of these places? I just wrote a booking into Dynasty Hotel and let's see if I get any response. :)
can anyone recommend an adults only hotel in Thailand? Thinking of taking my husband to Thailand (Phuket) for his birthday but don't want my holiday ruined by loads of sticky, screaming kids. Any suggestions on a good hotel? All inclusive would be good but not essential
thailand hotel prices.. Do you think?????....? I've looked online at hotel prices in thailand. Bangkok and pattaya dont seem so bad but phuket is a bit expensive. I have a thai friend here that will be going with us... do you think they'd give us a discounted price if she called and spoke to them in thai ??? I've read that they jack their prices up...on all the websites and even sometimes when your there in person, because "westerners" dont know how cheap it really is there. What do you think???
thailand hotel discount website..? anyone else seen this website for thailand hotels...i only looked briefly at hotel rates for phuket but the prices seem to be lower here....what do you think?????? plus you get credit to book another trip with them...if i use them i guess i could book the first couple nights up north and then use the reward points to book the rest of the trip.... does it look ligit???
why airfare to thailand cost almost as much as airfare+hotel? Okay, I'm going To Thailand in July, Phuket to be exact. I found a site where I can book reservations at Phuket Hotels way cheaper than Orbitz or any of those other online sites. But when I serach for only airfare to Phuket from Columbus, Ohio the airfare cost about the same as airfare+hotel from the same site. Why is this? The hotel can't be that cheap to where they can offer it for nothing like this can it? Hey Lil Sammy, I was gonna shoot u an email asking this but don't allow email. Anyway, I've found that flying to and from Bangkok would be atleast $400 cheaper. So, if we did that, how much of a pain would it be to get to Phuket from Bangkok? OR is it too much of a hassle to do that? We want to see Bangkok too so I figured we could maybe stay there for a couple of days then go tp Phuket. Thanks for Answers!!!

I am going to Huahin, Thailand. What hotel is the best? My travel agent suggested Ban Talay Dao Resort and Casa del Mare Resort. I am going with my brother so I am looking for something nice but not too romantic and very close to the beach. Prefer to be away from crowded areas, if possible. We're going in December 2006 (the week before Christmas).
Going to Thailand in June, do I need to book a hotel? Do I really need to book a hotel, or can I just walk around bang kok or phuket and just find a cheap place? Never been and dont care too much about staying in a nice place. Just need a bed. Could you also recommend any popular attractions, places to go?

Thailand - hotel rooms? Traveling (alone and female) to Thailand (end of Jan / beginning of Feb). Would you get a room now or wait until you arrive? Also, if you have an itinerary you have utilized in the past, I am open for suggestions as to which places to visit :) Happy New Year.
