- I always find it cheaper to book on line. If I go somewhere here I will call and ask the price then check on line. In most cases the on line price is cheaper. Plus if you plan to come during the high season Nov to Feb it is best to have a reservation in advance.
- It is cheaper to book online than it is to book directly with the hotel. I have used www.asiarooms.com in the past with very good results. Not only do you get good rates, you can usually get a feel about the property, amenities and service via the reviews. I booked my Thailand vacations using the above website and was very satisfied.
- In Thailand, it is usually cheaper to book online. Even the hotel's website prices are much higher than what you can find online. And being a Farang or Foreigner, you are assumed to be willing to pay more or rather since you don't read Thai you will pay more. Try the following: www.asiarooms.com www.sawadee.com www.res24.com www.hotelclub.com, this is a "membership" site. It does not cost anything and you get 3 percent credit towards your next reservation. And if you want more options you can use the following travel search engine sites www.kayak.com www.sidestep.com Good luck
- surely booking online is cheapest way... try this website to get lowest rate guarantee for booking hotel.. http://discovery-thailand.com/Koh%20Samui%20hotels.html for Samui http://discovery-thailand.com/Phuket%20hotels.html for Phuket click on hotel name in hotel list to see hotel information such as room rate, photo, map and previous customer reviews. have a nice trip
- It is cheaper to book online, because websites like asiarooms sell rooms at wholesaler rates which are of course much cheaper than if you walk-in directly to the hotel.
- Everybody gives you the same answers to these question. I have found great cheap hotels, hostels, guest house that don't advertise on Asiarooms.com or blahblahblah.com. A guesthouse that has 20 rooms for $10 per night its going to be on Kayak. Its much cheaper to go there and find a room. But it has a risk to it. The only way I've found to find the cheap deals is by exploring the local area. I found a really good hotel with a very reasonable price one time because I overstayed my visit and the hotel I was at was full (I'd tell you the name but then when I went it would be full and I don't want to do that). My suggestion is to book a hotel and when you get their ask around about other recommendations(Don't ask the Hotel). If your walking somewhere and see a place pop in and ask to see a room. Some of the ugly places on the outside can be real nice inside. If you find something you like move. And if it suits you and the price is good get a card and keep it in a good location because the next time you go you can call and book it yourself.
