  1. Yes u can
  2. dunno about the beach huts but you can eat like a king really cheap - enjoy you jammy thing !
  3. Evidently Thailand has lost lots of Its appeal recently.Lots of people are heading up to Vietnam now.Although I haven't been to either place I must add. Ive been to Indonesia . Indonesia is fantastic. You can live there on 5 pounds a day , more or less.
  4. There are many places to go in Thailand. I took a lot of pictures when I went to Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima in December 2007. The weather there is great in December and January. http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?gid=218734&owner=nudydy
  5. Easily - I can get a nice meal in the market here for about $1 US - the more touristy the area, the more expensive things will be.. If you live primitively, you can get away with 5 pounds a day... maybe..
  6. Everything is possible but pls don't complain about Thailand afterwards... The "good, old days" are mostly over!
  7. Beach Huts Depend On What You Want For A Proper Hut - shanty town styled on the beach you could be looking £2-£5 a night For A modernly built beach hut with airconditioning - it can be an thing upto £25 a night Mega Luxury Places are still amazingly cheap by western standards at around £50 a night. Thailand is quite amazingly cheap but is unbelivably expensive to get to
  8. southern thailand is not cheap. the north and the area arround pattaya are much cheaper. even ko phangan is more expensive. a beach hut cost you more than a house or a hut 200 meters from the beach. ps: vietnam is more expensive than thailand.
  9. No, for 5 pounds a day you'll be able to eat street food, take a bus ride or two and maybe a couple of beers from the local 7/11, and that's it, then what are you going to do? You won't be able to eat at restaurants, visit tourist sights or go any anywhere. Also, there aren't any beach huts to stay in anymore, they've all been replaced by 100 pound (and more) a night hotels. Immigration officials may not even let you into the country if they don't think you have enough money for the length of your stay. Thailand is cheap, but it's not that cheap, wait until you can afford a lot more before you come, you'll be living like a bum here on 5 pounds a day, especially as a tourist.
  10. The bar girls have a name for guys like you it's called Cheap Charlie. Stay home in your baht tub until you can afford it. Guys like you make me sick.
